San Carlos de Bariloche is an alpine city located on the southern coast of Nahuel Huapi Lake. It is one of the most important ski resorts of South America (Catedral), as well as a gateway to Chile. Consider staying for 2-5 nights. Bariloche, with its own airport 18 km away boasts a singular variety of first class tourist facilities and hotels as well as tourist class ones.
Located 1,750 km from Buenos Aires, two hours by plane, and it is the centre of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Remarkable for its beauty, this is one of the most important tourist centres in Argentina.
The typical constructions of stone and wood are interwoven with buildings of modern architecture, giving the city a very special touch. The beauty of its flowers and gardens, along with the local chocolate production, contributes to the charm of this alpine city.
Mount Catedral
Its name originated in the similarity of its summit with the towers of gothic cathedrals. This is a skiers' paradise; every year during the winter season, the “Snow Festival” takes place here, the “Descent of the Torches” from the summit being the highlight of the party. Mountain guides and cozy shelters together with restaurants, ski schools, shops and ski equipment rental are some of the facilities provided for skiers and visitors. At present, the ski station has over 30 ski lifts. It is only 19 km from the center of Bariloche.
Gateway to Chile
Through the stunning Lake Crossing, Bariloche is one of the gateways to Chilean side of the Andes.

Laura, Hi. The trip went very well. My parents and I were very pleased with the arrangements and wanted to say thank you for handling all the tours, hotels and flights. Unfortunately it was Aerolineas Argentina that gave us one bad experience where the USH-EZE AR2982 flight got delayed 6 hours so we had to change all our connecting flights back to Singapore on Oct 19. Otherwise, we enjoyed the Patagonian tours thoroughly.
El Calafate and Ushuaia were lovely........
