Wild Game Recipe – Brooke’s Tasty Elk Bites

Elk Bites
What you need:
4 chopped Jalapenos
can of refrigerated crescent roll
8 oz. of softened cream cheese
1 cup of cubed elk meat
So i start by frying some elk steak on the stove in a little butter and add salt and pepper for some extra taste. While the steak is cooking I preheat the oven to 350°.
Chop the jalapenos into small chunks
Let the cream cheese soften so it’s easy to mix.
When the elk meat is browned and slightly toasted drain the extra juice and mix with cream cheese and jalapenos.
Lay out the crescent dough on a baking sheet and fill with about a tablespoon of the cream cheese filling.
You can either roll the dough into a ball shape or the traditional crescent shape.
Make sure they are sealed really well.
They are now ready to go in the oven! Cook for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown and enjoy!!
